The Watchung Historical Committee has opened the Texier House Museum to preserve and display artifacts related to Watchung’s history. The museum features collections of artifacts and photos from Watchung history, including Moldenke's Castle, ice cutting on Watchung and Best Lakes, sports champions, Pedeflous and O'Connor's restaurants, government and social organizations and it is a work-in-progress and donations of artifacts, old photos and cash donations are always welcome to enhance the displays. We are currently working on new displays about the schools, the flood of 1973 and Watchung: Then and Now, a display of historic homes. The Texier House Museum is staffed by volunteers from the Watchung Historical Committee. It is a work-in-progress, and donations of artifacts, old photos and cash donations are always welcome to enhance the displays.
